Usage Note 64825: New sasauth options are available for integration with MapR native authentication
New functionality is available in sasauth for generating MapR native authentication tickets by invoking the maprlogin module.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
After you install the hot fix, add the following options in the SASFoundation/9.4/utilities/bin/sasauth.conf file to enable MapR native authentication integration.
Note: In the mapr_home option below, in place of <local-path>, include your local path to the MapR client or the MapR server home directory, which is typically /opt/mapr.
mapr_generate_credentials=true
mapr_home=<local-path>
Important Note: Ensure that the libmapr_pam.so file is not included in either /etc/pam.d/sasauth or /etc/pam.d/sasauth-spre to prevent erroneous authentication failures. The libmapr_pam.so file is not needed in sasauth PAM service files to enable the integration with MapR native authentication.
