Problem Note 64627: Applying a new SAS® Viya® license file fails with "WARNING: The input stream read . . . from license does not contain a valid PROC SETINIT step"
Applying a new SAS Viya license file might fail, and you then see a message that states the license file is not applied. In the apply_license.log, you also see this message:
WARNING: The input stream read (and possibly decoded) from license does not contain a valid PROC SETINIT step.
When you sign in to SAS® Studio, you might see this message:
The launch of the server process failed due to a site validation problem.
These messages appear when you apply the SAS License file in the JSON web token (.jwt) format with a size of 32K bytes or more.

fixed.
You see a message that a SAS Viya license file is not applied as well as "WARNING: The input stream read (and possibly decoded) from license does not contain a valid PROC SETINIT step." The messages appear when the JSON web token file (.jwt) has a size that is larger than 32K bytes.
