When you edit a workflow-enabled object in a SAS^® solution, such as SAS^® Model Risk Management, you might not be able to view the diagram of the associated workflow instance. When you select the Workflow tab to view the running workflow instance, you might see the following error:

The problem occurs with SAS 9.4 (TS1M6). In SAS 9.4 (TS1M6), a user must have the Workflow Administrator role in order to view a workflow diagram in a SAS solution. Prior to SAS 9.4 (TS1M6), you could use the SAS^® Web Administration Console to assign workflow template management roles to users and groups. The SAS Web Administration Console in SAS 9.4 (TS1M6) might not include the ability to assign these roles. As a result, users might not be able to view a workflow diagram with SAS Workflow Administrator.

After the hot fix is installed, you must assign the Workflow Administrator role to users who should have the ability to see the workflow diagram in the SAS solution. In the Authorization page of the SAS Web Administration Console, choose a user or group, and assign the role, ROLE_WORKFLOW_ADMINISTRATOR, as shown below:

 

Notes:

1. In order to assign roles in the SAS Web Administration Console, you must log on as the sasadm@saspw user or as an administrative user in the ROLE_ADMIN role.
2. When you use Microsoft Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox to assign roles, the Finish button might remain inactive. To work around the issue, use the Google Chrome web browser.
