Problem Note 64478: Multiple DB2 warning messages about truncation cause an error to occur and the job stops in your SAS® software

When running code in SAS, you might receive many warning messages and eventually see an error message. In this scenario, DB2 returns many warnings similar to the following to SAS:
WARNING: During read: [IBM][CLI Driver] CLI0182W Fractional truncation.SQLSTATE=01S07 : [IBM][CLI Driver] CLI0182W Fractional truncation.
SQLSTATE=01S07
SQLSTATE=01S07
Eventually, an error similar to the following occurs:
ERROR: An error occurred when translating from one type of character encoding to another.
The error is sporadic.

When running code in SAS, you might receive warnings similar to this from DB2: "WARNING: During read...CLI0182W Fractional truncation.SQLSTATE=01S07..." After receiving many of these warnings, you might see a message similar to this: "An error occurred when translating from one type..."
