When processing a SAS Decision Manager transform in SAS® Data Integration Studio, the following error might be displayed:
WARNING: Apparent invocation of macro BRM_HASDATAGRIDS not resolved.
ERROR: A character operand was found in the %EVAL function or %IF condition where a numeric operand is required. The condition was: (&hasDataGrids and (&codeType ne DS2))
The error occurs when your transform was originally published using SAS Decision Manager 3.1 with Hot Fix 2.

After the hot fix is applied, the rule flow executes without error.
