You encounter a problem in which the column names in Table 2 (T2) are appended with an _1 suffix under the following conditions:

• You have a data plan that contains a Join transform.
• You change the second join table, Table 2 (T2), by selecting a different table that has the same column names.

When you run the data plan after making this change, you see the following error:

You encounter this problem when you perform steps similar to the following:

1. Open your data plan and edit the existing Join transform.
2. On the Join Tables panel, select a different Table 2 (T2) that has the same column names as the table that you are replacing.
3. Navigate to the Rename Columns panel. You see that the Source Column in the newly selected Table 2 (T2) contains the _1 suffix.
4. When you run the data plan, subsequent transforms that reference the original column names fail with the error "No items are available."

The error occurs because any transforms downstream from the Join transform reference the original column names that do not have the _1 suffix.

To work around this issue, delete the table by clicking the trash can icon. Then, select the new table.
