The SAS Environment Manager server can fail to start after you apply Hot Fix B7R005. In the bootstrap.log file, you might see an error similar to the following:
This issue might also introduce a configuration error for SAS Environment Manager during the Load Content, Update Content, or Post Update tasks. In the configuration error log, you might see a warning or error like one of the following:
This problem is caused by a 0 KB JAR file called commons-fileupload-1.3.1.jar. Go to SAS-configuration-directory\Web\SASEnvironmentManager\server-5.8.0-EE\hq-engine\hq-server\webapps\ROOT\WEB-INF\lib and verify that the commons-fileupload-1.3.1.jar is 0 KB.
If the file is 0 KB, the workaround is to delete the commons-fileupload-1.3.1.jar file. Then restart the SAS Environment Manager server.
If you receive a configuration error during the Load Content, Update Content, or Post Update tasks, and you restarted the SAS Environment Manager server and the server completely restarted, select Retry in SAS® Deployment Wizard or SAS® Deployment Manager.
