Problem Note 64290: Ensemble node results might be incorrect when a Drop node has both Drop From Tables and Hidden set to Yes

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

In SAS® Enterprise Miner™, score code and predicted values from the Ensemble node might be incorrect.  The problem occurs when all of these conditions are true:

  • Your flow contains a Drop node before the Ensemble node.
  • The Drop node Drop From Tables property is changed to Yes. (No is the default.)
  • The Drop node Hidden property is set to Yes. (Yes is the default. Selecting Yes drops the variables that have a role of Hidden.)

There are no errors or warnings to indicate a problem.

To avoid the problem, do not use that combination of settings in a Drop node when you also have an Ensemble node.

Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.

After you apply the hot fix, an error is displayed when you attempt to run a new Ensemble when the above conditions are true.  Existing Ensemble nodes are not impacted by the hot fix, and the problem can still occur with those nodes. Take either of these actions for existing Ensemble nodes:

  • Delete the Ensemble node. Replace it with a new one. An error is displayed if the problem can occur.
  • Re-execute the flow. To re-execute, go to the first node in the flow, and change the Rerun property to Yes. Run the flow. An error is displayed if the problem can occur. Optional: change the Rerun property back to No so that the entire flow does not need to re-execute continually.
