Problem Note 64085: Folder shortcuts disappear from the SAS® Studio navigation pane
When you create a folder shortcut in SAS Studio, a file called SWE.folderShortcuts.key is updated. This file is located in C:\Users\user-id\AppData\Roaming\SAS\SASStudio\Preferences\.
If the length of the string for the folder shortcuts in the SWE.folderShortcuts.key file exceeds approximately 4,000 characters, the shortcuts disappear from the navigation pane. Those that do remain are Desktop and My Documents.
A workaround is to open the file and remove any recent additions, to enable the file to contain fewer than 4,000 characters. You can also ensure that folder shortcut paths have shorter names whenever possible.
A fix for this issue is planned for a future software release.

For software releases that are not yet generally available, the Fixed
Release is the software release in which the problem is planned to be
fixed.
If there are many levels of folder shortcut names or folder shortcut names contain very long strings of text, the folder shortcuts can disappear from the SAS Studio navigation pane.
