Problem Note 64625: The SAND service in SAS® Visual Investigator takes a long time to start or restart

On a system that has hundreds of security rules, you might notice that the Search and Discovery (SAND) service takes a long time to start up or restart. 

The reason for the delay is that the feature service is generating individual update events when it reloads all of the security rules.

Click the Hot Fix tab in this note for a link to instructions about accessing and applying the software update.

After you apply this fix, the service sends a single call to each tenant to process security rules.
