Problem Note 64517: SAS® Enterprise Guide® 8.1 stops responding after you select data in a process flow and then open the SAS Rapid Predictive Modeler task
When you perform the following tasks, SAS Enterprise Guide 8.1 can stop responding:
- You open a new process flow.
- You expand a library and then drag a data set to the Process Flow tab.
- You right-click the data set and select Browse ► Data Mining ► Rapid Predictive Modeler ► Open.
After the application stops responding, you must exit and restart it again.
Workaround
The workaround is to open the task first before you select the data for the process flow.
Follow these steps:
- Start SAS Enterprise Guide 8.1.
- Create a new process flow by selecting File ► New ► Process Flow.
- At the top of the application, select File ► Open tasks.
- Select Data Mining ► Rapid Predictive Modeler.
- Select your data set.
- You will be able to edit your Rapid Predictive Modeler data here and save the model in the process flow.
