Problem Note 64441: An "ORA-01438: value larger than specified precision allowed for this column" error might occur when a Cancel by Source file is processed
In SASĀ® Merchandise Allocation, the following errors might occur in the MAXDATA.ALLOC_INTERFACE_LOG table or in the log associated with the ShipCancel process:
"Update of allocation definition failed."
OR
>>> Error [DTM(Tue Jun 25 09:01:29 2019 : 16199) TID(2912786240) SRC(ODBCRecordset::ReturnCheck) MSG(Error ODBC Error occurred: Native Error 1438 [SAS Ins. Inc.][ODBC 20101 driver][Oracle]ORA-01438: value larger than specified precision allowed for this column)]
This issue is likely to occur randomly, but it occurs, it continues to occur for the definition that failed. The issue occurs because the remain qty, which should be 0, randomly generates a very large number that results in the error.
There is no workaround for this issue.
