Problem Note 63889: Duplicate values are shown in a custom detail after the custom detail has been updated from SAS® Customer Intelligence Web Services
If you use SAS Customer Intelligence Web Services to update a dynamic custom detail in a communication, you might encounter duplication of values in a custom detail. After the updateCommunicationNodes Customer Intelligence web service request completes successfully and you open the Communication node in SAS® Customer Intelligence Studio, the custom detail drop-down list might contain the duplicate values.
This problem might occur when you perform steps similar to the following:
- You define a custom (text) detail in a communication definition as a dynamic custom detail. This dynamic custom detail is populated by an external table, and the table is populated with these values:
Day
Week
Month
Year
- You create a campaign with a Communication node that is based on the communication definition as described in step 1.
- You run an updateCommunicationNodes SAS Customer Intelligence Web Services request and set the custom detail in the communication to a value of Week.
- Subsequently, when you open the Communication node in SAS Customer Intelligence Studio, you might see that the drop-down list for the custom detail contains two instances of the value Week, as shown below:
Week
Day
Week
Month
Year
