If you delete a gauge in a SAS Visual Analytics report that was promoted from 7.4 or earlier, you might not be able to open the report in SAS Report Viewer. Specifically, SAS Report Viewer displays an error that is similar to the following:

This error appears in SAS Report Viewer even though there are no errors when you are editing the report in SAS Visual Analytics.

Click the Hot Fix tab in this note for a link to instructions about accessing and applying the software update. After you apply the hot fix, you must re-import any reports that were imported before the hot fix was applied. If you delete a gauge in a report that was imported before the hot fix, then this problem can still occur.

If you have already encountered this problem, send an export of your report to SAS Technical Support. It might be possible to repair the report. However, not all reports can be repaired. Another option is to delete the gauges in 7.4 or earlier, promote the report again, and then add the gauges back in SAS Visual Analytics on SAS^® Viya^®.
