Problem Note 63620: Slow performance occurs when you use campaigns in SAS® Customer Intelligence Studio
Slow performance occurs when you use SAS Customer Intelligence Studio campaigns. Some tasks that experience slow performance include adding a node to a diagram and opening and saving campaigns.
When this problem occurs, the following entries are listed in the SASCustIntelCore log file under the DEBUG category:
Getting all node definitions with parameters falsetruetruefalse took 1 minutes 38.612 seconds
Created new MACommunicationNode in 1 minutes 29.306 seconds
Created new MAMultiSelectNode in 1 minutes 45.346 seconds
Created new MACodeNode in 7 minutes 8.771 seconds
getValidNodeDefinitions with parameters nullfalsetruetrue took 3 minutes 13.426 seconds
Created new MAPrioritizeNode in 3 minutes 41.385 seconds
Diagram saved in 8 minutes 3.869 seconds (+7minutes 27.839 seconds)
This behavior happens in SAS Customer Intelligence environments that are under a heavy load. For example, the environment has a huge number of end users (for example, more than 50 users) or the environment is executing a large number of campaigns (for example, more than 500 campaigns).
