In SAS Visual Analytics, some filters might not be passed when using page links. Specifically, this happens when multiple objects link to the same target page, and those objects have indirect filters from manually created actions. When this happens, the indirect filters for some objects might not be passed to the target page. You might notice that some objects work while others do not.
Note: In previous releases, "indirect filters" are referred to as "derived filters."
For example, the following display shows a bar chart, pie chart, and a line chart. There is a manually created filter action from the bar chart to both the pie chart and line chart. The pie chart and line chart both contain a page link to Page 2, which contains a list table.
If you select Front from the bar chart, then the pie chart and line chart are both filtered by Front.
If you double-click Toyota in the line chart to activate the page link, the list table on Page 2 should be filtered by Front and Toyota, but it is filtered only by Toyota. This is because the indirect filter from the bar chart was not passed.
Note: This functionality does not work if Automatic actions on all objects is selected on the Actions tab. The actions between objects must be created manually.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note for a link to instructions about accessing and applying the software update. After the hot fix is applied, follow these steps to enable the indirect filters through page links.
