In SAS Visual Forecasting, when you enter an OUTFOR data set, it should be automatically detected as an "External forecasts" data-source type. Instead, it might be incorrectly detected as a "Time series" data-source type.
The problem occurs when the ACTUAL, PREDICT, LOWER, and UPPER columns are not within the first ten columns of the OUTFOR data set.
To work around the problem, re-arrange the columns of the OUTFOR data set so that the ACTUAL, PREDICT, LOWER, and UPPER columns are within the first ten columns.
