Problem Note 63081: Clicking "Validate Report" results in an unexpected "HTTP Status 500" pop-up error message when the < or > characters are used in a SARX report
After you click Validate Report for a Suspicious Activity Report in XML (SARX) in SAS® Anti-Money Laundering, you might see an “HTTP Status 500 – Internal Server Error” pop-up message.
The following message might also appear after you try to create an e-file of the report:
ERROR: There is an illegal character in name
These errors occur when you enter the less-than (<) or greater-than (>) characters in the text fields that provide a report description or report narrative.
The workaround is to remove the < and > characters from the fields.
If you must include the < and > characters, contact SAS Technical Support for instructions about how to modify the rc_rest_get_efile_collection.sas macro program.

Release is the software release in which the problem is planned to be
fixed.
Validating an SARX report that contains a < or > character in the text boxes that describe the report can result in an "HTTP Status 500–Internal Server Error" message. The message "ERROR: There is an illegal character in name" also appears after you try to create an e-file of the report.
