Problem Note 63080: The "Validate Report" button does not validate a postal code as expected in SAS® Anti-Money Laundering
A C14 FATAL error or C16 WARN warning can occur when an improper value is entered in the Postal Code field. The errors appear after you submit a Suspicious Activity Report in XML (SARX) to the Financial Crimes Network (FinCEN).
The errors occur because an invalid value for a ZIP code or postal code is not detected after you click the Validate Report button.
The workaround is to enter the correct ZIP code or postal code. Ensure that future codes are entered correctly without relying on the Validate Report button to verify the field value.

For software releases that are not yet generally available, the Fixed
Release is the software release in which the problem is planned to be
fixed.
The "Validate Report" feature might fail to detect an invalid ZIP code or postal code in the "Postal Code" field in a SARX report. You then see a "C14 FATAL error" or "C16 WARN" warning regarding the "14. Address: ZIP/Postal Code" field after you submit the report to FinCEN.
