Problem Note 63053: The last known viewer state for a SAS® Visual Analytics report overrides parameters set on a URL
Starting with release 8.3, SAS® Report Viewer maintains your most recent view of a report across sessions. For example, suppose that you change some prompt values and drill into a hierarchy. The next time you open the same report, SAS Report Viewer restores the report to the state that you left it in your previous session.
However, if you open that same report using a URL that passes in parameters to automatically set prompt values, the report opens with your last known viewer state instead of applying the prompt values from the URL. This behavior is incorrect. The URL parameters should take precedence over the last known viewer state.
