Problem Note 63045: PROC IMPORT with the DBMS=CSV option might not format dates correctly

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

An IMPORT procedure that uses the DBMS=CSV option might not format date values correctly.

The date values appear to be wrongly recognized as numeric data instead of as valid dates. For example, the date value 01.01.2016 is assigned the NLNUM32 informat and appears as 01.012.016.

This issue can occur during certain SAS encoding sessions such as SAS 9.4 (German).

There is no workaround, other than to use the en-US locale.

Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.

After you apply the hot fix, you can submit the following %LET statement prior to running PROC IMPORT, or you can put the statement in an autoexec file:

%let EFI_UseNlnums=no;
