Problem Note 63022: Middle-tier and server component changes for SAS® Infrastructure for Risk Management 3.4 (Revision 17w38)

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

This SAS Note provides a summary of the changes and enhancements made for SAS Infrastructure for Risk Management 3.4 (Revision 17w38).

  • Enhances processing of Live ETL to exclude empty folders in the input area so that instances are not marked out of date.
  • Improves performance when building the IRM WebDAV tree with multiple large instances and/or federated areas in the system.
  • Improves the usage of macro variable load data sets so that they are found and can be used in setting run parameters. For example, in a user’s personal federated area, the macro variable load data sets can be used to set run parameters for SAS® Model Implementation Platform.
  • Enhances the processing of input parameter values that are modified via Edit Instance and triggers the node to rerun.
  • Enhances the processing when uploading a changed file to an instance so that it will run again.
  • Improves the functionality for successfully rerunning an instance that has collection output as TMPLIB after the initial run.
  • Improves the functionality when you do the following:
    1. Create two identical instances.
    2. Publish one of the instances.
    3. Load new data via Live ETL.
    4. Rerun the out-of-date instance so that the correct output data is generated.
  • Improves processing when you do the following:
    1. Run an instance.
    2. Cancel the execution of the instance.
    3. Upload an input table to the instance.
    4. Rerun the instance.
  • Enhances the processing of newly created job flow instances that should be stopped or marked out-of-date by Live ETL.
  • Enhances dynamic processing of Live ETL so that jobs with a RUNNING status are included. Dynamic macro variable data sets are editable so that you can create an instance and then update it in the same .bpmn file.
  • Enhances processing so that if input data is modified, the following nodes reflect the changes. For example, you create and execute an instance; download, edit, and save an input file; and create another identical instance, open the new instance, and upload the edited file.
  • Enhances the processing when running a node in a user’s personal federated area in which SASAUTOS includes only the source/sas/ucmacros folder, but previously included subfolders under ucmacros.
  • Enhances the processing for successful runs of identical instances in order to avoid move-and-link errors and non-responsive software when rerunning.
  • Adds a context so that error messages now write out the actual message, instead of a message key.
  • Adds data object pooling clean-up for partitioned folders on two-machine installs.
