Problem Note 63948: You receive the error "Invalid object specified to bridge protocol engine" in SAS® Studio
When you submit code in SAS Studio, you see the following pop-up error message:
Invalid object specified to bridge protocol engine.
This error can appear in the following situations:
- You set the system option ERRORABEND. The ERRORABEND option is generally meant for use in the Base SAS® windowing environment, and it might generate unexpected results in SAS Studio. SAS Studio might stop responding in this case. To work around the problem, use the option NOERRORABEND.
- You submitted SAS code that contains the ENDSAS statement. To work around the problem, remove the statement from your SAS Studio program.
