Problem Note 63928: The code editor in SAS® Studio does not show typed code immediately
You might experience latency while using the code editor in either SAS® Studio 5.1 or SAS® Studio 5.2. There can be a delay between when you type text and when the text is displayed in the application. The results of scrolling up and down might also occur slowly.
The delay is more noticeable when the code in the editor is either wide or very long. The delay is also much more noticeable while using the Microsoft Edge browser, but it can also occur with Google Chrome.
You can reduce the delay by deselecting the Enable syntax highlighting check box. This option is found on the Options ► Preferences ► Editors menu.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note for a link to instructions about accessing and applying the software update.
