Installation Note 63814: SAS® Operation Qualification Tool fails with "SAS/IML is not licensed ... Bad product ID for procedure IML" errors
When running the SAS Operation Qualification Tool test suites, the iml:tsiml:tsiml01 test might fail. The following error is displayed in the log:
ERROR: The SAS/IML product with which IML is associated is either not licensed for your system or the product license has expired. Please contact your SAS installation representative.
proc iml;
ERROR: Bad product ID for procedure IML.
The error occurs when SAS Enterprise Miner is not installed.
You can ignore the error. SAS Enterprise Miner conditionally licenses SAS/IML. A conditional license means that SAS/IML functions for SAS Enterprise Miner nodes that generate SAS/IML code, but not for user-written code. Any product that is conditionally licensed but not installed with the plan file fails during SAS Operation Qualification Tool testing.
