Problem Note 63675: An attempted connection to the SAS® Workload Orchestrator web interface fails with an "Authorization failure for REST API call" error
A web browser connection to the SAS Workload Orchestrator web interface can fail, and the following error is displayed after you enter your credentials:
Authorization failure for REST API call. Make sure the credentials provided are valid in the grid.
This issue occurs under these circumstances:
- You start a connection in a browser and then force the browser to refresh.
- You close the browser and later reopen a browser window. You have to re-enter credentials to reconnect to the SAS Workload Orchestrator web interface.
- Any attempt to reconnect in the browser from that point onward retrieves the message above.
A workaround is to ensure that both basic authentication and Security Support Provider Interface (SSPI) are enabled and to clear your browser cache.
