Problem Note 63600: The comments, attachments, and relationships count notifications and panels do not update correctly when you switch between open objects

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

If you open multiple objects of the same type simultaneously in SAS® Visual Investigator, the count notifications show only data for the last opened object. Even when that last object is not currently selected, the data does not refresh.

The following example scenario demonstrates how this issue occurs:

  1. You configure an entity type that includes attachments, comments, and relationships.
  2. You create three objects for the entity type that you created in Step 1:
  • Object A has 1 attachment, 2 comments, and 1 relationship.
  • Object B has 0 attachments, 1 comment, and 2 relationships.
  • Object C has 2 attachments, 4 comments, and 0 relationships.
  1. You perform a search that returns all three objects.
  2. You select all three objects and open them from the search results screen.
  3. Object C, the last object in the list, is displayed. The attachments, comments, and relationships count notifications show the correct counts:

Attachments Comments Relationships pills

  1. You then select Object B. However, the count notifications do not change to show that there are 0 attachments, 1 comment, and 2 relationships. The count notifications remain what they had showed for Object C.
  2. If you select Object A, the count notifications still display the same information for Object C.
  3. With Object A still selected, if you expand the panels for the attachments, comments, and relationships, the data for Object C is displayed
