Problem Note 63598: An incremental indexing job that runs on the link table after it has updated might fail, and you see the error "The links could not be loaded"

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

In SAS® Visual Investigator, if you run an incremental indexing job on the link table after you update the table, the indexing job might fail.

You can encounter this problem in this example situation:

  1. Both a link table and a link deletion table are created.
  2. A large number of records (for example, 22,000 records) is inserted into the link table.
  3. A relationship is created in SAS Visual Investigator.
  4. An incremental indexing job is executed on the link table, and all 22,000 records are available in the search.
  5. You update some of the records (for example, 20 records) in the link table.
  6. You then run another incremental indexing job on the link table.

After the second incremental indexing job is executed, you might encounter an error that states "The links could not be loaded." The datahub log also might include a java.lang.NullPointerException error.
