Problem Note 63596: An incremental indexing job with a delete-by-query call fails, and an error in the Elasticsearch log states that there are too many query terms
In SAS® Visual Investigator, when you run an incremental indexing job for the delete table, the indexing job can fail with an error indicating that there are too many query terms.
This issue can occur under these circumstances:
- You have an entity with at least one relationship for incremental deletions.
- There are 1,025 or more objects in the delete table.
- You run an incremental indexing job to pick up all the deletions.
The expectation is that all items in the delete table will be deleted from Elasticsearch. However, you might see that the indexing job fails, and the Elasticsearch log indicates that the job fails because there are too many query terms.
