Usage Note 63406: A message stating that a SAS report cannot be sent to Microsoft Excel appears after you select "Send To ► Excel" on the "Results" tab

In SAS® Enterprise Guide®, after you select Send To ► Excel, a pop-up error message states the following:
Unable to send 'report-name' to Microsoft Excel. A compatible version of the SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office is either not installed or not enabled for Microsoft Excel. You may need to invoke Microsoft Excel prior to sending the content.
This message can appear when the SAS Results Files location for SAS® Add-In for Microsoft Office is denied or inaccessible.
Follow these steps to update the location:
- Open Microsoft Excel.
- Select the SAS tab.
- Select Tools ► Options.
- Open the Advanced pane.
- Under SAS Results Files, update the SAS results files location field so that it points to a local path that you can access on your machine.
- Click OK.
