Problem Note 63328: "Unable to transcode data to/from UCS-2 encoding" occurs when you import with SAS® PC Files Server (DBMS=EXCELCS) using Latin9
Microsoft Excel files that contain a "smart" quotation mark imported with the SAS PC Files Server using DBMS=EXCELCS generate the following error message:
ERROR: Unable to transcode data to/from UCS-2 encoding.
To work around the error, remove the smart quotation mark from the Excel file.
