Usage Note 63196: The use of reserved special characters might generate errors within SAS® Merchandise Planning
In SAS Merchandise Planning, the use of certain reserved special characters might result in errors. The restricted special characters have been identified as: the comma (,) pipe (|), single quotation mark (‘), backslash (\), and registered trademark symbol (®). Do not use these characters when naming KPIs or attributes, or within the attribute data.
If an error occurs when accessing data with reserved special characters, then the workaround is to update the attribute data to remove the reserved special characters.
