When you execute the command /opt/sas/viya/home/bin/sas-ops validate, the following error message is returned:

If you are executing a new deployment, you can safely ignore this error message. The current version of the sas-ops-agentsrv-update.sh script always purges the data mart, even if it is a new deployment. The sas-ops-agentsrv-update.sh script is run as part of the deployment process for SAS^® Viya^® 3.4 in the Linux operating environment.

However, do not ignore this error if the one of the following conditions is true:

• You have previously purged the data mart and the /opt/sas/viya/home/bin/sas-ops validate command still returns the message.


• You perform an upgrade and the /opt/sas/viya/home/bin/sas-ops validate command still returns the message. 

When either of the scenarios above occurs, investigate as follows:

• Review the SAS^® Log file (resetdm_cas_{YYYYMMDD}_{HHMMSS}_{host-name}_{process-ID}.pgmlog) that generated by the resetdm_cas job. The log is located in the /var/log/sas/viya/evmsvrops/evdm directory.
  • If it has been more than a day since you purged the data mart or performed an upgrade, you can delete the resetdm_cas job log.
  • If the log was the deleted, you cannot review it. However, if you do experience the problem, the issue likely still exists and extract, transform, and load (ETL) jobs might also fail.
• Review the etl_driver log (etl_driver_{YYYYMMDD}_{HHMMSS}_{host-name}_{process-ID}.pgmlog) that is generated by the ETL jobs. The log is located in /var/log/sas/viya/evmsvrops/evdm directory.
