Problem Note 63172: "Invalid character value for cast specification" occurs after you use the Bulk Copy (BCP) facility to append data into a SMALLDATETIME field
Using the option BCP=YES in a LIBNAME statement in SAS/ACCESS® Interface to ODBC can cause an error.
The following error occurs in your SAS® 9.4 log after you attempt to append data in Microsoft SQL Server 2016 to an existing table that contains a SMALLDATETIME field:
ERROR: CLI execute error: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Invalid
character value for cast specification
