Problem Note 62913: Incorrect results occur after you apply Hot Fix C9E001 or Hot Fix A7C003 to SAS/ACCESS® Interface to Netezza
Under the following conditions, you encounter incorrect results after you apply Hot Fix A7C003 (SAS® 9.4 TS1M4) or Hot Fix C9E001 (SAS® 9.4 TS1M5):
- The Netezza table contains variables that are defined as VARCHAR or NVARCHAR data types.
- Your query has a mixture of rows that contain values and rows that contain blanks (not nulls).
- The LIBNAME statement (or CONNECT TO NETEZZA statement if using explicit pass-through) does not include READBUFF=0.
- More than one row is returned.
- The rows with blanks are not read in before the rows with values.
The workaround for this issue is to add READBUFF=0 to your code. Although this workaround should ensure that correct results are read from Netezza, it might result in slower performance.
