Problem Note 62702: The recommended price might not be as expected when there are more than 4000 grid points
In SAS Regular Price Optimization, the recommended price might not be as expected. This issue is likely to occur in a plan with the following characteristics:
- The products in the plan have a wide range of prices.
- The grid of candidates points or price endings is very large.
When the number of grid points reaches 4000, a continuous price grid is used instead of the expected price grid specified by the pricing rule.
The workaround for this issue is to ensure that the pricing grid has fewer points.
