Problem Note 62669: SAS® Environment Manager ETL jobs can run multiple times in a deployment that contains a shared file system

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

In an environment that has multiple hosts and a shared file system, such as SAS® Grid Computing, the SAS Environment Manager extract, transform, load (ETL) process runs on each host.

As a result, data in the SAS Environment Manager Data Mart can become corrupted.

The reason that this issue occurs is that the config/Lev1/.../emi-framework subdirectory is shared across multiple hosts in a grid deployment. The audit, performance, and measurement (APM) component expects that particular subdirectory on only one host.

The agent plug-in detects this subdirectory in order to run the log centralization and ETL jobs on the host that has it. Within a grid environment, the agent plug-in detects the same subdirectory on each host, so it then runs multiple ETLs on those hosts.
