If you specify a central vault for SAS Deployment Backup and Recovery but then decide to remove the central vault, a scheduled backup or purge might still try to access the central vault. If a scheduled backup runs, and the central vault location is no longer accessible, a warning like the one shown here is reported after the task runs. The warning is sent within an alert email from the SAS Deployment Backup and Recovery tool:

Stack Trace: Status returned by backup server is other than SUCCESS.
This problem does not happen if you run an ad hoc (unscheduled) backup using either the sas-backup batch command or SAS® Backup Manager. Only a scheduled task still tries to locate the central vault.
A fix for this issue is planned for a future software release.
If you encounter this problem, use the following workaround.
Workaround
Restart the SASServer1 instance of SAS® Web Application Server.
When the next scheduled task runs, you should not receive the warning about the failure to locate the central vault.
