Problem Note 62312: SAS® Web Report Studio might display "The system was unable to complete your request" when opening the properties of a report
When you select File ► Properties to view the properties of a SAS Web Report Studio report, you might see the following error:
The system was unable to complete your request.
Click Close to return to the previous page.
When this occurs, the SAS Web Report Studio log contains a warning that is similar to the following:
[WRS] WARN [tomcat-http--44] 2018-05-11 16:45:40,451 [ST-7927-JABV9vnKfrnLKACGw9l9-cas:sasdemo] citation.view.beans.BeanValidator -
Probable script attack com.sas.apps.citation.view.beans.BeanValidator$BeanValidatorXSSException:
SAS Folders/Shared Data/WRS Reports/Sales Reports/<br/>Month March
This issue can occur when the path to the report location is more than 50 characters, starting from SAS Folders and including spaces and slashes. The error occurs because SAS Web Report Studio considers the <br/> tag to be a cross-site scripting risk. The tag is inserted when the path is very long.
Currently, there are two workarounds:
- Rename the folders so that the full path is fewer than 50 characters.
- Move the report so that it is located in a path that is fewer than 50 characters.
