Problem Note 62245: A "Failed to connect to server" error might occur after logging in to the SAS® Merchandise Solutions Configuration Workbench

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

The following error might occur after you log in to the SAS® Merchandise Solutions Configuration Workbench:

Failed to connect to server.

In addition, the following messages might be found in the configwb.log file:

ERROR [Worker-0] (SessionContext.java:208) - Failed to parse socket timeout property. The time out interval set is null
WARN [Worker-0] (SimpleSaxErrorHandler.java:47) - Ignored XML validation warning
Failed to read schema document 'http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans/spring-beans.xsd', because 1) could not find the document; 2) the document could not be read; 3) the root element of the document is not <xsd:schema>.

This issue is likely to occur when your installation site does not allow access to outside networks, which prevents the loading of the necessary xsd schema.

The workaround for this issue is to allow access to outside networks at your installation site.
