Problem Note 62977: A network diagram might be unusable in SASĀ® Visual Investigator when the application fails to respond
For the configurable expansion limit for network diagrams, SAS Visual Investigator enforces the limit with a request made to the server. In some cases, this request fails to return and the connection times out. While the client waits for a response, the network diagram becomes unusable.
The request can fail when you try to expand a diagram that has more nodes than the administrator has set as the limit for the expansion. That is, if the administrator sets the limit at 1,000 nodes, a diagram with more than 1,000 nodes fails to open.
