Problem Note 62856: Unable to create new display rules in SASĀ® Visual Analytics
In SAS Visual Analytics, when you create a new display rule, you select a report object, click the Rules pane, and then click New rule. A list of data items appears. In some cases, nothing happens when you click any data item from your list.
In the browser's console logs, you might also see errors such as these:
sap-ui-core.js:81 2018-09-04 10:37:09.560600 [] adding element with duplicate id 'IntervalUnits-INTERVAL_PURPOSE_NOTIFICATION-numericStepper' -
ManagedObject.js:6 Uncaught Error: Error: adding element with duplicate id 'IntervalUnits-INTERVAL_PURPOSE_NOTIFICATION-numericStepper'
This problem can occur after you create custom categories followed by geographic data items. This combination of actions causes custom categories to become corrupted. The corrupted categories prevent you from creating new display rules.
To work around the issue, re-create any custom categories that have become corrupted. Then, save your report, log off, and log back in. Display rules should work correctly at that point.
