Usage Note 62818: The message "ERROR: The connection to the data source driver failed...[..." occurs when you create a caslib with SAS/ACCESS® Interface to ODBC
When using a caslib with SAS/ACCESS Interface to ODBC, you might receive the following error:
ERROR: The connection to the data source driver failed.
ERROR: ERROR: [
ERROR: Function failed.
ERROR: The action stopped due to errors.
This issue happens if you are using unixODBC as your driver manager.
To circumvent the issue, you need to add the following option to your caslib:
dm_unicode="utf-16"
