Problem Note 62733: The browser stops responding when you choose the "Find shortest path" option in SASĀ® Visual Investigator for a large number of nodes in Network View
In Network View, you can select nodes and then select Find shortest path to see the quickest interconnection among them. A best practice for this option is to select a smaller number of nodes (fewer than ten). When you select a large number of nodes, the browser might stop responding.
A workaround for this situation is to select a maximum of ten nodes before choosing the shortest-path option.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note for a link to instructions about accessing and applying the software update.
After you apply the hot fix, the Find shortest path button is disabled when ten or more nodes are selected.
Verify That the Update Is Installed
To complete this process, make sure that the package version that is shown in the rpm output either matches or is newer than 7.3.8 or 7.1.56 with the following command:
rpm -qi sas-svi-visual-investigator
