Problem Note 62711: SAS/ACCESS® Interface to Greenplum does not detect database system errors when the errors occur during a query
The following system error codes are not detected by SAS® when they occur during a query:
58M01 "failed to acquire resources on one or more segments"
58P01 "undefined file"
57014 "query canceled"
When these errors occur, a successful but incomplete query is returned to SAS. When this happens, result sets that are returned from a Greenplum database by using SAS/ACCESS Interface to Greenplum do not contain complete data. However, you might not be aware that you are missing data unless you check the database logs.
To work around this problem, set the READBUFF=1 option in the LIBNAME statement. When the READBUFF= option is set this way, SAS detects the errors and informs you about the errors. However, be aware that performance can be a concern when the option is set low.
