Problem Note 62607: The SAS® Scalable Performance Data Server Password Manager Utility crashes on RHEL 7.x systems when the user name contains underscores
When you attempt to enter or import a password database file on a Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7.x system, an issue occurs when a user name contains an underscore ( _ ).
If either of the last two characters of a user name is an underscore, the Password Manager Utility fails with an error message that is similar to the following:
ERROR: The system has encountered an unhandled Exception.
: Please contact technical support and provide them
: with the following traceback and system dump information:
ABORT: SAS/TK is aborting
: Abort Log file [report-log-info]
: ---------------------------------------
: Time [time-date-stamp]
: ---------------------------------------
: Thread Name [Cradle Application Thread]
The workaround is to not use an underscore as either of the last two characters of the user name.
