Problem Note 62589: Lowercase values for macro variables in SAS® Scalable Performance Data (SPD) Server 5.4 and earlier cause the macro variable not to be implemented
For SAS SPD Server 5.4 and earlier, macro variables that are character-based required the variable value to be uppercase for the macro to work properly, as shown in the following examples:
- SPDSDCMP=YES|NO|BINARY
- SPDSUSAV=YES|NO|REP
- SPDSWDEB=YES|NO
This behavior can be a problem if you enter the values in lowercase because the macro variable values are not implemented if you do.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
After you apply the hot fix, macro variable values in SAS SPD Server 5.4 Hot Fix 1 and earlier are not case-sensitive (with the exception of values for the SPDSSQLR macro variable).
