Problem Note 62500: "ERROR: Invalid sequence of commands..." occurs when you try to create a SAS® data set from an Oracle table
When you use SAS/ACCESS® Interface to Oracle to create a SAS data set from an Oracle table, you might receive an error similar to the following:
ERROR: Invalid sequence of commands for file libref.table.DATA.
You also might see that hidden columns have a length of zero (0) if you run a procedure such as PROC CONTENTS on the Oracle table.
You might encounter this issue when you run code similar to the following:
libname x oracle user=oracle_user password=oracle_password path=oracle_path;
data test;
set x.table;
run;
This problem occurs when the Oracle database administrator has applied the security policy.

When the database administrator has applied the Oracle security policy, the column length for an Oracle table is zero (0) in SAS/ACCESS® Interface to Oracle. Also, you encounter an error when you create a SAS data set from an Oracle table.
