Problem Note 62496: SAS® Visual Analytics report fails to open in SAS® Report Viewer with an "Unresolvable entities" error related to an AbstractAction

A SAS Visual Analytics report might open successfully in design mode, but fail to open in SAS Report Viewer with errors that are similar to the following:

Unresolvable entities for scope: "SASReport" { Could not resolve entity: {name:"ac21902", type:"AbstractAction", tid:40002} }

This problem can occur after you duplicate report pages if your report contains a prompt container that does not automatically apply prompt values. Here are the specific steps that can lead to this situation:

  1. Add a prompt container in the report prompt bar.
  2. On the Options pane for the prompt container, deselect Automatically apply values.
  3. Add any control to the prompt container.
  4. Add any object to the report canvas.
  5. Duplicate Page 1.

After performing these steps, you might encounter the error.  To workaround this issue, delete the prompt containers in the report prompt bar, and re-create them. Re-creating the prompt containers cleans up the entities and enables the report to open properly in SAS Report Viewer.
