Problem Note 62495: Reading in and/or writing to a PDS GDG on z/OS fails with "WARNING: Member specified for a directory concatenation: 0..." in SASĀ® 9.4M5 (TS1M5)
Under z/OS, SAS 9.4M5 code that reads in and/or writes to a partitioned data set (PDS) Generation Data Group (GDG) allocated in Job Control Language (JCL) fails. In this scenario, you see an error similar to the following:
WARNING: Member specified for a directory concatenation: 0
WARNING: DDNAME: INDD VOLSER: <volser> DSNAME: userid.PDS.GDG.G0011V00
ERROR: INDD.
A workaround is to allocate the PDS GDG with the SAS FILENAME statement instead of with a DD statement in JCL.
